What is meant by the comment, also what is meant by “We all know Overtown, but we don’t know Parkwest”. I am a resident of Overtown. An owner in the new housing development The Villas of St Agnes. The Carrie Meek Manor just had some finishing touches placed on it ( new housing for the seniors), but one of the things lacking in this area is a shopping area, Supermarket, stores , Targets, Home Depot, K mart, a pharmacy, things that will bring economic development and jobs to the community. What about the development of the are from 19th St NW up to the 14th Street area. It is so blighted. I notice plans for 14th NW downward, would love to see development here in the “heartland”.
